Brian Holiday, the Patriots starting pitcher and Oklahoma State University commit, was not always a starter. As a matter of fact, he was the FCSAA JUCO Fireman of the Year last season as the best closer in the state of Florida. This season he has transitioned to starting games and threw his first complete game of his career when he tossed 9 innings allowing only 6 hits, 3 runs, and striking out 10 batters in the College of Central Florida's 6-3 win over Seminole State College. The win kept Holiday perfect on the season with his 7-0 record.

Carson Bayne got the Pats on the board in the first inning when he doubled home Juan Correa. The score would stay 1-0 until the fifth inning when Seminole's, Keaton Ference, would homer to tie the game. The Pats would immediately regain the lead when Kareh Valentin doubled home two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. An RBI single from Kishon Frett would get the Raiders to within one at 3-2 in the sixth inning. The Patriots offense added some insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth inning when Mike Guilliams doubled home Thad Ector, who had singled. A bases loaded hit by pitch of Aaron Saltsman brought home another run and a wild pitch scored the Pats sixth run of the day. Frett would homer in the top of the ninth inning, but Holiday struck out Ryan Recio to end the game for his 102nd strikeout of the season which leads all pitchers in the state of Florida.

The win improved the Patriots to 46-4 on the season which is one win away from tying the school season win record of 47 wins. CF has two games remaining on the regular season schedule to try to break the record. Monday at home vs. Santa Fe and Wednesday on the road at Santa Fe.
