The College of Central Florida Patriots (44-4, 17-3) reduced the magic number to clinch the Mid-Florida Conference Championship to one when they defeated Daytona State College 13-4 on Monday afternoon in Ocala.

Juan Correa's grand slam home run in the bottom of the seventh ended the game via the conference run rule. It was Correa's 17th home run of the season and the team's 97th, breaking the season record of 96 that was set by the Patriot offense last season.

CF fell behind 4-0 after four innings of play but outscored the Falcons 13-0 over the next three innings. The offense outburst included a three-run triple from Kareh Valentin, a run scoring single and double by Edwin Toribio and RBI singles from Cole Bullen and Mike Guilliams.

Keller Eberly (5-0) picked up his fifth win of the season tossing three shutout innings in relief allowing only three hits and striking out one.

The Patriots will try to clinch the Mid-Florida Conference Championship on Friday when they travel to Sanford to play Seminole State College. First pitch is at 1 PM.
