Pats Get 10th Win in A Row with 11-4 Victory Over Daytona

The Patriots pummel Daytona State College 11-4 for their tenth win in a row Monday afternoon in Daytona. The ten game winning streak is the teams third longest this season as they have had streaks of 19 & 12 in a row.

Carson Bayne had a five hit day which included a triple and two RBI. Edwin Toribio tied the school season record for home runs when he slugged his 19th in the top of the sixth inning. The HR also tied the team season record for Home Runs at 96 and it gave the Pats the lead for good at 5-4. Aaron Saltsman and Mike Guilliams added two RBI each.

JD Smith earned the win in relief to improve his record to 3-0. Smith threw 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 2. Isaac Sewell also tossed 3 innings giving up only one hit, no runs, and striking out two.

#2 NJCAA ranked Central Florida improves to 43-4, 16-3 while Daytona State College drops to 16-23, 3-16. The same two teams will play in Ocala on Wednesday, April 19th, 3:00 PM to conclude the two game series.
