The baseball teams from the College of Central Florida and Santa Fe College have both opened their seasons with record breaking starts. Their combined record going into Wednesday's game was 60 wins and only two losses. These two powerhouses met for the first of eight games this season in Ocala and the Santa Fe Saints came out on top 4-0. The loss snapped the Patriots (30-2, 6-1) winning streak at nineteen games.

Saints starting pitcher, Tobin Moran tossed a complete game four-hitter, walking only one batter and striking out ten. Patriots starter, Andrew Herrmann (3-1) had an excellent start throwing 6.0 innings, allowing only four hits, one run and striking out five batters. The Patriots couldn't figure out the crafty Moran as only Juan Correa (2 hits), Edwin Toribio (1 hit), and John Marant (1 hit) mustered up any offense. The Saints (30-1, 6-1) were led offensively by JP Herrholz (3-5, 2R, RBI, 2 Doubles) and Grant Gallagher (2-3, RBI).

The two teams will meet again on Friday in Gainesville on the campus of Santa Fe College for a 3:00 PM game.
