CF Continues Winning Streak with 12-2 Victory Over Florida Southern JV

Patriot sophomore center fielder Carson Bayne was a double short of the cycle in CF's 12-2 win Monday night over the Florida Southern College JV, but still managed to go 4 for 4 with two singles, a triple and his third home run of the season. Bayne also had two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. The win keeps the Pats perfect on the season at 11-0.

Freshman, Edwin Toribio hit his second home run of the season and Sophomore, Thad Ector connected on his first home run. Ector's totals included 2 hits, 3 RBI, and 2 stolen bases. Other leading hitters were Austin Eppley 2-4, 2 runs, RBI and Cole Bullen 3-4, run, 2 RBI.

Isaac Sewell improved his record to 2-0 with 2.1 innings pitched in relief of JD Smith (3.2 IP, 2R, 0H, 3K) allowing only one hit, no runs, no walks, and three strikeouts. Todd Kniebbe tossed one inning and had three strikeouts.

The Patriots are currently in the middle of a five game road trip and will travel to Bradenton on Wednesday to play perennial JUCO powerhouse State College of Florida, Manatee. Game time is 5:00 PM.
