The Lady Patriots got off to a hot start with three wins on opening day in the Adidas JUCO Kickoff Classic in Clearwater, FL.   

Game 1 - 7-0 Win vs Parkland College

Savannah Barnett pitched a gem in game one. She did not give up a run in  her 7 inning complete game, allowing only 3 hits. The Patriots offense tallied 10 hits, with Gianna Guerriero, Emily Konz, and Abbey O'Connor all collecting multiple hits. Hannah Meyer blasted the first home run for the Patriots in the 5th. The Patriots swiped four bags in the game with seals by Kamaya Cohen, Emily Konz, Madisyn Riggins, and Brooke Roberts. 

Game 2 - 3-1 Win vs East Georgia State

Katey Pierce held East Georgia to one run in her complet game 7-inning performance in game 2. She only surrendered 3 hits and struck out 5 batters. The Patriot's offense took the lead in the 4th when Katie Sexton reached on an error and then advanced to third on a single by Sierra Carter before Lily Garnett-Brown singled to left to score both runners. They added another run in the 5th when Brooke Roberts hit a sac fly to score Gianna  Guerriero. The Lady Pats finished with 7 hits in the game. 

Game 3 - 9-1 Win vs Georgia Military

In game 3 of the day the Patriots got another strong pitching performance out of starter Emily Proctor. She threw a complete game 5-innings scattering three  hits, giving up only one run while striking out six. The Patriots offense put up six runs in the 2nd inning to take a commanding lead. Madisyn Riggins, Gianna Guerriero, and Brooke Roberts all drove in runs in the inning. Katie Hogue hit her first home run of the season in the 3rd inning to increase the lead to seven. Hogue, Roberts, and Alyssa Adams all collected multiple hits in the game. 

The Lady Patriots will play another three games today in the Adidas JUCO Kickoff Classic beginning with an 12 PM game against Northwest Florida State College.
