CF Sweeps Home Double Header vs St Pete

The Patriots six-run third inning helped to seal the 9-1 win over St. Pete College in game one. Alyssa Adams (2-2, 3 RBI, HR), Jade Fayad (1-3, SB), Abbey O'Connor, and Kamaya Cohen (2-4, 2 RBI, SB), all drove in runs in the big inning. The Patriots had their running game going, stealing 5 bases in the game.

Savannah Barnett (3-2) led the College of Central Florida to victory in the circle. Barnett surrendered only one run on four hits over five innings, striking out three and walking none.

In game two the Patriots cruised to a 10-5 victory. Alyssa Adams was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Saturday, driving in four on two hits to lead College of Central Florida Patriots Softball past St. Pete. Adams drove in runs on a home run in the third and a fielder's choice in the fourth. CF had 14 hits in the game. Cassidy Ross (2-4, 2R), Gabbie Haas (2-4, 2RBI), Emily Konz (2-2), Adams (2-4, 2R 4RBI, HR), and Hannah Meyer (2-3, 2RBI) all had multiple hits.

Katey Pierce (3-0) picked up her third win of the season. The righthander threw a complete game seven innings, scattering seven hits and five runs, only 3 earned, while striking out four.

The College of Central Florida softball team will next take the field at home on Wednesday, February 16th in rescheduled match up against Pasco Hernando State College. Fist pitch of game one is at 2 PM.
